Community Philanthropy Initiative (Past Work)

From 2015–2020, College Futures partnered with community foundations across California to improve the economic future of their communities by increasing educational opportunity and B.A. attainment. Our work originally focused on growing the number of strategic, needs-based scholarships and related student services so that community foundations could more effectively address their communities’ college attainment gaps. Through this partnership, we also learned that community foundations can be leaders in regional efforts to build a shared vision for seamless college pathways.

Though strategic scholarships are no longer part of our grantmaking, our community foundation partners continue their work to advance college completion for poverty-impacted youth and students of color in their communities.

Student Data Reporting

CALynx—a secure online web portal developed by College Futures Foundation for scholarship grantee partners to track, analyze, and report data and outcomes for their scholarship students–was decommissioned in 2020 and is no longer available online. All data was made available to grantee partners in advance of the system’s decommission.

Bloomfieldx, the data and analytics company that developed the CALynx student data system with College Futures, will continue to maintain CALynx. If you want to learn moreplease complete this form to get in touch with them directly. While we cannot endorse Bloomfieldx, we have worked with them for more than 10 years to enhance, support, and maintain CALynx.

If you are a former user of the CALynx system, and have any other questions about this process, or your student data, please contact datasupport@collegefutures.org.
