College Futures President and CEO Monica Lozano responds to the question, “How can public schools address the challenges faced by California’s various ethnic communities?”
“The CSU recently began expanding free on-campus immigrant legal services. In 2015, the UC led the nation in providing such aid to students. But more needs to be done. We need to increase financial aid for first-generation students and allow undocumented students to receive Cal Grants with the same priority as others.”
