College Futures on COVID-19 Response – Message to Partners
Dear partners, colleagues, and friends,
We are thinking of you all during this challenging time. The rapidly shifting COVID-19 environment underscores the importance of the work you are doing to support students, families, and communities who would benefit most from college opportunity and socioeconomic mobility—and how complex and changeable this work can be.
First, we hope you are well and staying safe.
We also wish to let you know that:
- College Futures Foundation offices are closed and our staff are working remotely at least through April 7 and converting meetings to digital or telephonic. Please do not send mail to our physical address at this time, but feel free to contact us via email or phone.
- Our grantees and partners are up against momentous changes in policies and social and economic realities. We understand the need for flexibility around your work and our support. Please reach out to your program officer directly when needed to discuss any adjustments to deliverables, timelines, etc.—and, as always, we welcome the chance to understand more about the challenges you’re facing.
- We acknowledge that the challenges for students and institutions at this moment are significant. Our foundation is actively exploring how we can provide timely and targeted resources through a California College Student Emergency Support Fund. We will share details on that as soon as we can.
As always, we are grateful to be working with you and appreciative of the important work that you do.
Yours in partnership,
Monica Lozano
