About College Futures Foundation
We believe improving college achievement is essential to California’s future, and that college success should be an option for every student. With more college graduates, we open the door to a thriving economy, and more vibrant communities. We work to remove systemic and institutional barriers to college success, enabling students to access the knowledge, financial aid, and other resources they need to earn college degrees and choose their own futures.
College Futures aims to chart a new course for students with historically low college success rates by changing policies, practices, systems, and institutions in ways that better support students. Our goal is to increase the rate of bachelor’s degree completion by California students who are low-income and underrepresented in higher education.
Established in 2005, College Futures Foundation awards nearly $20 million in grants annually and has an endowment of nearly $500 million. Together with its grantees and partners, College Futures works towards more graduates for a thriving California.
